Ill Crew University:: Submission Guidelines::
HIP-HOP HISTORY GUIDELINES
The goal of Hip-Hop History is to properly record and preserve the most significant and groundbreaking events in Hip-Hop's history, so that our generation and generations to come will have a true and legitimate account of the events that have paved our way as well as the events that made and literally changed the face of Hip-Hop, as recorded by those who actually lived them. In order to submit an entry into our Hip-Hop History database, you must be or represent at least one of the following:
- A dedicated individual knowledgeable about Hip-Hop History, willing to volunteer his/her time to collect the documented significant and groundbreaking events in Hip-Hop History from legitimate and respected online or offline sources.
- A representative of one or more of Hip-Hop's 5 Elements (an Emcee, Deejay, Graffiti Artist, Breakdancer or Beatboxer) with astute knowledge of Hip-Hop History, willing to volunteer his/her time to collect the documented significant and groundbreaking events in Hip-Hop History from legitimate and respected online or offline sources.
- A legitimate Hip-Hop Historian, Academic or a credentialed College Professor in Hip-Hop Studies
- A writer, journalist, essayist, or blogger with astute knowledge of Hip-Hop History, who has written about significant and groundbreaking events in Hip-Hop History.
All contributors are required to provide us with your valid source(s) (i.e.., website link, name of publication, etc.).
New contributors will be provided with a unique contributor identification number. Returning contributors are recommended to provide this contributor number when submitting new entries so as to record the number of unique valid entries they have submitted for review and approval.
Contributors are encouraged submit additional and/or supplemental content to pre-existing Hip-Hop History entries for review. You are required to provide us with your valid sources for approval into our database.
Active ICU members who participate in collecting database entries for Ill Crew University will have their biographies approved and added to the Hip-Hop Encyclopedia as a Hip-Hop Culture Preservationist.
Non-ICU members who have submitted 10 or more unique entries into our database will have their biographies approved and added to the Hip-Hop Encyclopedia as a Hip-Hop Culture Preservationist. Ill Crew University uses your contributor identification number to authenticate the number of unique entries you have submitted for review.
If you notice that a particular event in Hip-Hop History hasn't yet been added to our database, please do not hesitate to take it upon yourself to submit your entry for our staff to review. Your proactive participation is vital to preserving the integrity of Hip-Hop culture for generations to come.
Ill Crew University reserves the right to carefully review the validity, legitimacy and significance of each and every Hip-Hop History entry we receive. All entries are reviewed by our submissions staff in accordance to preserving the quality, comprehensiveness, validity and integrity of the Hip-Hop History Archive.
