Law of One Society Biography:
The Law of One Society is a loosely structured, non-hierarchical network of individuals from around the world dedicated to understanding, exemplifying and practicing the truth we call the Law of One. The Law of One Society is but one incarnation of a long line of groups and spiritual movements past and present that have and continue to spread the universal truth that All Is One. We are dedicated to re-awakening this awareness in others by being an example of Oneness and Infinite Love made manifest in our daily lives. Many within our network follow different paths. Some practice different religions or spiritual beliefs. Some find purpose through more practical applications of Oneness in our society, while others find it through its more metaphysical aspects. Nevertheless, we are all bound by our awareness and understanding that beyond all belief within the Illusion of Separation there is but one inescapable and underlying Truth -- that All Is One.
Founded in the Fall of 2002, the Law of One Society is the realization of one young man's spiritual journey into re-awakening. Brian Sanchez, then 25 years of age, re-discovered the Law of One through years of soul searching, research and contemplation in search of Truth and of life's meaning.
Born and baptized a Roman Catholic in the urban sprawl of Manila, Philippines, Brian was unusually intuitive, intelligent and creative for is age (according to his mother). He was a natural artist with a strong magnetic personality. After moving to Los Angeles, California at the age of 3, Brian would later grow up to be a model honor roll student with an affinity towards world history, world religions, ancient civilizations and archaeology. As a teenager, however, Brian struggled to be accepted in the "in" crowd. And although for the most part he had succeeded in gaining acceptance from those he wished to be associated with, he knew in his heart that there was more to life than just going to parties and trying to fit in. But at the time, he just couldn't pin-point what that was exactly.
In July of 1996, after completing his first year as an Art student in Loyola Marymount University, Brian suffered his first major loss. His close friend and fellow art student, Emiliano "Emi" Morales, was killed in a tragic rock slide accident in Yosemite National Park. Devastated, Brian dropped out of college, and for one year he had confined himself in his house, rarely socializing while trying to understand why his friend had to die. Brian was angry, but he didn't know who or what he could direct his anger towards besides God. He sought answers in the Church, but found little or no solace in the religious rhetoric that was spoon-fed to him there. He knew he had reached a point where the Church could no longer provide him with the answers he was looking for, but he was still afraid to leave the Church behind due to his "Catholic Guilt." But it was, of all people, a Catholic priest by the name of Fr. Paul Wolkovits who's sermons inspired Brian not to fear questioning his childhood faith if his heart compelled him to do so, and to be fearless in seeking answers outside the confines of the Church. And so, at the dawn of the new millennium, Brian began his spiritual journey. On his own, he studied various philosophies and spiritual teachings including Pantheism, Monism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Taoism. He studied various New Age beliefs as well as Metaphysics, Theosophy, Gnosticism, Ancient Mystery Schools, and Sacred Geometry. He studied and compared the various myths and creation stories of ancient civilizations such as Sumeria, Egypt, the Mayans, Lemuria, and Atlantis. And for a brief moment he was even an initiate in the Rosicrucian Order. Two years later, however, his journey would lead him to find his answer in three simple words: ALL IS ONE.
With a burning and almost zealous desire to tell the world he had found his Truth, Brian Sanchez created the Law of One Society website. Coincidentally, a Toronto resident named Allan Trickey (Click Here for his Bio) had experienced his own spiritual re-awakening, and was about to create a website of his own until he found out that Brian had beat him to it! The two then decided to collaborate, and their meeting of the minds and hearts eventually gave rise to the first incarnation of the Law of One Society website. As a way to find people like him and to get the word out about the Law of One Society website, Brian created an online forum called the Law of One Discussion Group. There, Brian was introduced to a wide variety of spiritually inclined individuals from all over the world -- some resonating with his beliefs, while others challenging them. As time went on, Brian would learn more about himself in relation to the Law of One through the various points-of-view expressed by his discussion group members. Through these members, he learned humility. Through these members, he developed a greater sense of inclusiveness. Through these members, he would truly understand the value, worth and equality of all paths, all experiences, and all things. Through these members, he gained a greater understanding of what the Law of One is really all about. While the discovery of the Law of One helped Brian find his answers, it was through these individuals who often challenged his own beliefs that led him to find himself.
Today, the Law of One Society continues to be a spiritual hub for individuals seeking awareness and Truth, as well as an outlet for those who wish to exemplify and practice Oneness, Unselfish Service to Otherselves, and Infinite Love. And while Brian continues on with his spiritual journey to further refine his understanding of the One, the Law of One Society will always remain as a beacon of hope for a brighter tomorrow.
